Plugin details

Lucide Icon Picker is a lightweight Bubble element that lets you browse, search, and select from the full Lucide icon set directly inside your app. It renders crisp, SVG-based icons via the Lucide CDN, with support for customizable stroke width, color, and responsive sizing that adapts to the element’s dimensions. Use it to build icon selectors, settings panels, or custom UI builders where users can visually pick an icon and store its name in your database.

Instructions

To set up Lucide Icon Picker, first install the plugin from the Bubble marketplace, then drag the Lucide Icon Picker element onto your page. In the element’s property editor, choose a default icon in Initial icon (for example smile or home), set Stroke width (e.g. 2) and Color to match your design, and optionally customize the Search placeholder. If you only want to offer a subset of icons, you can fill Allowed icons with a comma‑separated list of Lucide icon names (for example: home, settings, user, bell); otherwise leave it empty to allow the full list. At runtime, the element will display the currently selected icon and open a searchable dropdown when clicked.
If you just need the value in workflows, use the Lucide Icon Picker's selected_icon state and/or the icon_selected event to react when the user chooses an icon (for example, save it to the database in a workflow). For seamless saving without workflows, enable auto‑binding: bind the value property to a text field on your thing (e.g. Current User's icon_name) and turn on “Enable auto‑binding” for that field. The picker will then automatically read the icon name from the database on load and write the new icon name back whenever the user selects one, so you don’t have to manage the sync yourself.
